"The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham". This is how St. Matthew begins his Gospel in which he wrote his eyewitness accounts of our Lord, Jesus Christ. When we look the symbol for his Gospel, we see that he is represented by the Human Face. His introduction by using the genealogy of Christ and his writing style which asserts that Jesus is our Messiah makes it clear to why he is attributed to this human figure. Let us all ponder on the truth which St. Matthew proclaimed to us in his writings and let it change and mold our hearts towards our God who became incarnate for our sakes.
