"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." This is how our teacher St. John begins his writings in which he clearly proclaims the incomprehensible divinity of our Lord, Jesus Christ. We attribute John to the eagle due to the fact that he soared up high to understand and contemplate that which we had not yet understood. His writings not only help us understand the Glory of God but his love for us as well. In the last chapter of John, Our lord visits Simon Peter, Thomas, Nathanael, and John himself. As they continued to miraculously have breakfast with the resurrected Lord, Simon Peter is repeatedly asked 3 times by Christ "do you love Me?”. Let us all ponder this question in our hearts. What does it mean to love the Lord our God? Do we live our lives in love for our Lord? We hope this crewneck not only serves as a reminder to the incomprehensibility of Christ but as a knock to each one of our hearts where Jesus asks each one of us personally "do you love me?".
