H.H. Pope Shenouda III with his devoted disciple, Fr. Mikhail Edward Mikhail, as Fr. Mikhail holds a model of St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church in Cleveland. Ordained by His Holiness in 1974, Fr. Mikhail was sent to serve the growing Coptic community in America, becoming the first resident priest of St. Mark Church in Cleveland in 1975. With the guidance and blessings of Pope Shenouda III, he played a pivotal role in establishing and expanding Coptic Orthodoxy in North America.
