Archdeacon St. Habib Girgis was a very notable man who lived from 1876-1951. He had a burning love of the church from such a young age due to his mother who brought him up in the church. He bore great responsibility from such a young age, even being entrusted by Pope Kyrillos V at the ripe age of 17 to tour the country in order to recruit for the establishment of a new theological college being formed at the time. He continued to not only be a student in this college but due to the lack of teachers, became a teacher himself at the same time. After graduating, he continued to teach while preaching around the country. He continued to serve the church throughout his life. In one of his famous quotes, he stated "Jesus is All in All for us" making it clear just as how the Lord was the completion of his life, he is the completion of us all. He passed away in peace on August 21 and is commemorated on June 20. May their holy blessings be with us all. Amen.
